2024 Lamborghini Revuelto Ushers in a New Era for the Italian Brand
Every decade or so, Lamborghini gives the world a new flagship model. It all started back in the 1960's with the original mid-engine supercar; the Miura. Then throughout the mid - 70's and 80's, we got the pinup poster Countach. The 1990's made way for the mad Diablo. Then Lamborghini was bought by Audi and, under new ownership, they gave us the slightly more civil MurciƩlago. In the 2010's, the Lamborghini Aventador was the supercar that punched above its weight. Now in the 2020's, Lamborghini is giving us a new car that embraces the battery electric future. Meet the Revuelto.
The car is named after a Spanish fighting bull, but if you translate the name, it just means scrambled. Perhaps that's what the car will do to your insides when you plant your foot on the right pedal. With a new 6.5L V12 engine and three electric motors, the Lamborghini Revuelto will accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds and onto a top speed of over 350 km/h.
Of course, this being a Lamborghini, the styling is like nothing else on the road. It has a similar shape to the outgoing Aventador, but it also takes design cues from other Lamborghini models such as the triple-point daytime running lights which are from the Sian. The interior also receives a major overhaul with an 8.4-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 12.3-inch driver display, and small screen in front of the passenger so they can also see the crazy speeds the car can achieve. Comparatively, the cabin is larger than the Aventador's, allowing for more headroom and legroom for taller individuals.
What's the cost for this new Lamborghini? It'll have a base price of $604,000 USD with plenty of options to add onto it. However, the Revuelto is already sold out for the first two years of production.
